Join us via ZOOM or FACEBOOK LIVE as we host this Virtual Event in honor of World Aids Day. The 2022 World AIDS Day theme is "Reflection. Celebration. Rejuvenation." As we all know, World Aids Day is recognized on December 1, however the Bloomington Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated did not want to miss this opportunity to promote continued dialogue and action on AIDS.

The 34th anniversary is a grim reminder that we are living amid multiple pandemics. As of 2021, an estimated 38.4 billion people were living with HIV globally. This statistic alone underscores the need for increased awareness and education of HIV and AIDS-related illnesses.We are uniting to show support for persons living with HIV, remember those who died from HIV related illnesses, reduce the transmission of diseases and promote healthcare access to all individuals.

Aran Mordor, MPH, CHES from IU Health will be our speaker. Specializations include sexual and reproductive health, college health, harm reduction, new technologies in health, working with teens and young adults in diverse communities, and developing curriculum emphasizing positive sexuality for diverse communities. The event will include free confidential rapid HIV testing information and locations, PrEP/PEP education, free health screenings locations,  and information on referrals to community health providers.
